# TECON: The comprehensive cost of pig farming in the third quarter was 12.78 yuan/kg

On October 30th, TECON stated at the third quarter report communication meeting that the comprehensive cost of live pig farming in the third quarter was RMB 12.78/kg, a decrease of RMB 0.22/kg compared to the cost of RMB 13/kg in the first half of the year. The main decline came from the decrease in the costs of feed, medicine, and piglets. Currently, corn prices have stabilized, and there is limited room for further decline in feed costs in the fourth quarter, but there will be further room for reduction in other expenses and improvements in production efficiency
