# A-shares closing: On the last trading day of October, the ChiNext index fell 2.31% on reduced volume, with computing hardware stocks collectively adjusting

The market experienced fluctuations and adjustments throughout the day, with the ChiNext Index falling over 2%. AI application sectors strengthened against the trend, with stocks like FS Holdings and Ronshin Group hitting the daily limit. Pharmaceutical stocks collectively surged, with Shutai Shen and Lianhuan Pharmaceutical reaching the limit. The lithium battery sector continued its upward trend, with Enjie Co., Ltd. and Tianji Co., Ltd. also hitting the limit. On the downside, computing power hardware stocks like CPO adjusted, with Tianfu Communication, Zhongji Xuchuang, and Xinyi Sheng all falling over 7%. The indices showed a divergence between the yellow and white lines, with more stocks rising than falling; over 3,700 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets were in the green, with today's trading volume at 2.35 trillion. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.81%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 1.14%, and the ChiNext Index fell by 2.31%
