The Nikkei 225 index surged by 7,579 points in October, with four companies contributing 75% of the increase, becoming the main driving force in the market. Among them, Japanese semiconductor testing equipment giant ADVANTEST contributed 2,285 points, ranking first, followed by SoftBank Group with 1,692 points, while Fast Retailing Group, the parent company of Uniqlo, and chip equipment giant Tokyo Electron contributed 939 points and 790 points, respectively.
