# November 4th Midday Review: The ChiNext Index fell 1.51% in half a day, while Fujian local stocks surged against the trend

The market experienced fluctuations and adjustments in the morning, with the Shenzhen Component Index and the ChiNext Index both falling over 1%. Local stocks in Fujian surged again, with ZZDC, FJC, and more than ten other stocks hitting the daily limit. The power grid equipment sector saw a midday rally, with Zhongneng Electric and Sanbian Technology both hitting the daily limit. The thorium-based molten salt reactor concept continued to strengthen, with Baose Co. and Hailu Heavy Industry both achieving two consecutive limits. On the downside, innovative drug concept stocks declined, with Changshan Pharmaceutical dropping over 17%. Most individual stocks fell rather than rose, with over 3,700 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets showing losses, and the morning trading volume reached 1.23 trillion. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.19%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.27%, and the ChiNext Index fell 1.51%
