The Hang Seng Index closed at 25,952 points, down 205 points or 0.8%. The Hang Seng Tech Index reported 5,818 points, down 104 points or 1.8%. The National Index fell 85 points or 0.9%, closing at 9,173 points. The total market turnover was HKD 239.986 billion.

Alibaba (09988.HK) closed at HKD 159, down 2.6%;
