# Leapmotor clarifies that the rumors of FAW acquiring its equity are false

According to a report from Economic Information Daily on the 5th, in response to rumors about FAW discussing the acquisition of Leapmotor (09863), Leapmotor's official response stated that the information is false. Subsequently, Leapmotor's founder, chairman, and CEO Zhu Jiangming also replied to inquiries from domestic media, stating that it is "false information." Previously, some media reported that reliable sources indicated that FAW Group would gradually acquire shares of Leapmotor through a targeted issuance and ultimately become its largest shareholder, with the relevant plan already approved by the authorities and scheduled for public announcement on November 17.
