# [AI] XPeng released the new generation humanoid robot IRON, planning to start mass production by the end of 2026

According to a report from the Economic News Agency on the 5th, the 2025 XPeng Technology Day was held today at XPeng's new headquarters in Guangzhou. XPeng Motors (09868) CEO He Xiaopeng showcased the new generation IRON humanoid robot. This robot, claimed to be "the most human-like humanoid robot," walked with a "catwalk" on site, with natural and smooth movements, and highly restored human postures. He Xiaopeng stated that although it was only a few dozen steps, the XPeng robot team has been working for 7 years. The R&D team achieved a light and gentle stride for IRON by increasing the passive degrees of freedom at the toes, making the smoothness feel as if walking in space. He Xiaopeng also mentioned that XPeng aims to become the first company in China to mass-produce high-end humanoid robots, with plans for large-scale production by the end of 2026. It was introduced that the new generation IRON humanoid robot features "skeleton - muscle - skin": a bionic spine, bionic muscles, fully covered flexible skin, a 3D curved display on the head, bionic dynamic shoulders, and dexterous hands with 22 degrees of freedom. It is equipped with the industry's first all-solid-state battery and a physical world large model, featuring 3 Turing AI chips, constructing a combination of VLT+VLA+VLM high-level brain capabilities, enabling advanced intelligence such as conversation, walking, and interaction. \\\* Baosteel will become an ecological partner of IRON \* At the same time, XPeng announced that it will open the SDK (Software Development Kit) of IRON to build a humanoid robot application ecosystem with global developers.
