# Charles Schwab is nearing completion of a $600 million acquisition of Forge Global

According to the Financial Times, Charles Schwab is expected to announce an acquisition deal for the private equity market Forge Global, with a purchase price of up to $600 million, according to two people familiar with the terms. The report also stated that Schwab is expected to pay $45 per share for Forge Global, which represents a 75% premium over Forge Global's closing price on Wednesday. In after-hours trading, Forge Global's stock price was $38. This deal could be announced as early as this week, but there is currently no guarantee that the transaction will proceed smoothly
