BYD delivered 94 electric buses in Chile

BYD (01211.HK) announced that its Chilean subsidiary delivered 94 BYD B18 articulated electric buses, specifically designed for large-scale passenger transport, to the Santiago RED Metropolitana de Movilidad public transportation system, which is expected to reduce local carbon emissions and enhance the travel experience for the public.

The delivered BYD B18 buses are 18 meters long, constructed with a steel-aluminum structure to ensure safety and durability, and are equipped with intelligent features such as smart temperature-controlled air conditioning, information display screens, and multi-camera monitoring systems. Tamara Berrios, the national manager of BYD Chile, stated that this will be the largest electric public bus fleet in the region's history, and it is believed to meet the capacity needs of various public transport routes
