# Sustainable aviation fuel has dropped to below 20,000 yuan/ton, and the aviation industry is making efforts to overcome the carbon reduction challenge

In recent years, the aviation industry has shown rapid growth alongside the booming global economy. Data shows that the aviation industry contributes nearly 4% to global GDP. According to the "Impact of the Civil Aviation Industry on China's National Economy" released in April this year, the contribution of the civil aviation industry to China's national economy has been steadily increasing. At the same time, aviation activities have become a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions and a "hard nut to crack" for achieving carbon reduction targets in the transportation sector.
