U.S. Treasury Secretary Becerra stated that President Trump proposed that Americans could receive at least $2,000 in tariff "dividends," a concept that could be realized through the tax cuts he passed earlier this year in his signature economic policy bill. Becerra made this statement during an appearance on ABC's This Week when asked about a post Trump made on social media earlier on Sunday. In the post, Trump mocked those opposed to tariffs, claiming that at least $2,000 would be distributed to each person, excluding high-income individuals
