HKBN held its 25th anniversary celebration today, themed "Creating the Future Together: A New Chapter in Broadband Connectivity." HKBN Chairman and Executive Director Ling Hao stated, "Over the past 25 years, HKBN has grown in sync with Hong Kong, evolving from an innovative local telecommunications provider into a significant force serving nearly one million households and over 80,000 businesses across the city. This journey embodies the innovative spirit of Hong Kong people and reflects the long-term trust of our partners. Standing at a new starting point, we will leverage the strengths of the collaboration between China Mobile Hong Kong and HKBN, actively integrate into the national development landscape, and contribute to Hong Kong's prosperity and the country's high-quality development with more advanced network facilities and quality services." Li Xin mentioned that HKBN and China Mobile Hong Kong synergize in three areas: 1) market and service synergy, 2) technology and resource synergy, and 3) strategy and value synergy. During the ceremony, HKBN signed cooperation agreements with several institutions from different fields, including McDonald's, Octopus, Hong Kong Education City, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Qihoo 360, Hong Kong Computer Society, Global IT Alliance, KKBOX, and WeTV, to jointly promote digital ecosystem development and help businesses maintain an advantage in the global digital competition.
