# The value of safe-haven assets is once again highlighted as the gold market gradually erases its previous weakness

On November 11th, Jin10 Data reported that gold futures rose by 0.5% after the Senate passed a spending plan aimed at ending the record government shutdown late on Monday. Investors may believe that the reopening of the government increases the likelihood of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates again in December. Mizuho Securities analyst Robert Yawger explained, "When interest rates go down, gold tends to attract inflows. If I can get a 10% return in a soaring gold market, I wouldn't put my money into a 3.75% bond." Gold prices remain close to historical highs and seem to be recovering after a decline for most of October
