Recently, the chrome salt market has changed its previously low profile and welcomed a strong price increase. Data shows that since the fourth quarter, the price surge in the metal chromium market has continued to ferment, with a monthly increase of about 24%. Industry leader Zhenhua Chemical raised prices twice in October, with a cumulative increase of 14,000 yuan/ton, and the prices of newly signed orders continued to rise month-on-month. Sichuan Yinhe Chemical Co., Ltd., the second-largest chrome salt manufacturer in China, followed suit and announced a price increase of 5,000 yuan/ton for metal chromium starting from November 10.

"This round of price increases is mainly due to the intensified supply-demand mismatch, tightening upstream mineral resources, strict environmental regulations, and rapid growth in downstream demand, making metal chromium increasingly scarce," said a person in charge of a leading domestic chrome salt production enterprise. Chrome salt has strong essential demand characteristics and possesses properties such as high strength, high-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it more applicable in fields such as aerospace and high-end equipment manufacturing.
