# Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Richard Yu: The total amount of bonds custodied by CMU has approached HKD 5 trillion, increasing 13 times over the past 20 years

On November 12th, Jin10 Data reported that at the signing ceremony held by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, and Xunqing Settlement Holdings Limited, Eric Wu, the President of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Chairman of the Board of Xunqing Settlement Holdings, delivered an opening speech stating that to date, the total amount of bonds custodied by the CMU has approached HKD 5 trillion, which has increased 13 times over the past 20 years. The total amount of offshore RMB bonds held in the CMU has reached a record high of RMB 1.3 trillion, accounting for over 80% of the global share
