# NVIDIA-supported Australian artificial intelligence company Firmus raises $325 million

Australian company Firmus announced on Friday that it will raise AUD 500 million (USD 324.9 million) in a new round of financing. This artificial intelligence company and potential IPO candidate aims to accelerate the development of its AI infrastructure plan, Project Southgate.

According to a source familiar with the matter, this financing is the second in two months and has the support of American chip giant NVIDIA and domestic fund management company Ellerston Capital.

These two investors are already supporters of Firmus and participated in earlier rounds of financing
