South African Minister of Electricity Kgosientsho Ramakgopa: South Africa will advance the construction of a new nuclear power plant and revive several plans for modular nuclear reactors (most commonly referred to as small modular reactors, SMR). The latest nuclear power plant will be located near Cape Town at Duynefontein, initially adding 4 GW of nuclear power capacity
