# New World Development's New City Plaza invests HKD 18 million for Christmas promotion

SHK PPT (00016.HK) has invested over HKD 50 million to optimize the outdoor sky garden of Phase 1 at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin, officially renamed "NTP Sky Garden." It features the largest outdoor water curtain installation in Hong Kong's shopping malls, combining art, technology, and natural landscapes, and is expected to provide customers with a refreshing sensory experience. Xu Jiawen, Deputy General Manager of the Leasing Department of SHK PPT, revealed that since 2020, New Town Plaza has invested approximately HKD 300 million in a space revitalization plan, continuously optimizing the indoor and outdoor space facilities to create diverse themed experience zones.

She also mentioned that to seize the golden consumption period during Christmas, the mall will invest HKD 18 million this year for promotions, creating a comprehensive experience that includes an outdoor immersive water curtain performance, photo spots, as well as indoor circus carnival Christmas decorations and Christmas markets. Along with promotional activities during the same period, it is expected that foot traffic and sales during Christmas and New Year's Eve will increase by approximately 10% and 15% year-on-year, with dining, department stores, beauty, fashion, jewelry and watches, and electronic product merchants benefiting the most
