# This week, U.S. stocks face "huge selling pressure," and "the more they fall, the larger it becomes."

Goldman Sachs trader Coppersmith pointed out:

The short-term reversal point for the S&P 500 index for CTAs is around 6725 points, with a medium-term target around 6440 points. Since the beginning of October, long positions have decreased (as of Friday, from $224 billion to $212 billion), and although the current scale of capital flows has slightly diminished, **a decline of 1 standard deviation could trigger a global stock sell-off of up to approximately $165 billion**.

In other words: This week, U.S. stocks are facing significant selling pressure.
