As with previous years, this initial build acts as the foundation before the feature-packed 2025.44.25 release arrives. While this first step doesn’t include the major Holiday Update features owners are waiting for, it does deliver a pair of practical enhancements—one focused on improving Dashcam usability and another offering more control over the vehicle’s climate protection settings. ### Dashcam Update The most noticeable improvement comes to Tesla vehicles equipped with Intel-based processors, which are receiving a refreshed Dashcam Viewer. With a new grid view, users can see all camera feeds on the lower part of the screen, with the option to focus on a specific camera. The updated layout not only features a new controls for jumping between clips, it also allows skipping forward or backward in 15-second intervals, making it easier and faster to scrub through recordings, check Sentry Mode alerts, or review footage after an incident. The update brings the in-car Dashcam experience for Intel owners in line with owners with the AMD Ryzen processor, who have had this layout since earlier this year from the Spring Update. ### Cabin Overheat Update Tesla has also added a new option to Cabin Overheat Protection, giving owners the ability to Exclude Home when using either the regular or No A/C version of the feature. The toggle ensures Cabin Overheat Protection won’t activate when the vehicle is parked at home, which is especially useful for owners and reduces unnecessary energy use while still preserving the safety benefits of the system when the car is parked elsewhere. ### What’s Next As with past Holiday Update cycles, the arrival of 2025.44 signals that the bigger, more feature-rich update is close behind. Tesla typically uses this early build to validate the underlying code structure before deploying the full release that contains new apps, UI refreshes, entertainment features, and improvements to Autopilot and FSD (Supervised). Last year’s Holiday Update delivered the new Apple Watch app, added the ability to save Sentry Mode and Dashcam clips directly to your phone, along with Auto-Shift improvements for newer stalk-less vehicles, and much more. Expectations are high that this year’s release will follow suit with an even more expansive list of additions. Based on what we’ve seen recently, this year’s Holiday Update could include Apple CarPlay. What are you hoping for in this year’s Holiday Update?
