# Citigroup expects AAC Technologies to acquire Dispelix to expand its XR product portfolio and solution capabilities

Citigroup's research report indicates that AAC Technologies (02018.HK) has signed an agreement to acquire shares and other equity securities of the AR diffractive waveguide technology company Dispelix Oy, with the transaction expected to be completed in the first half of 2026. AAC has been collaborating with Dispelix on R&D strategies for several years, jointly developing the next generation of AR devices with multiple leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) clients, and working with major mobile platform suppliers to develop a new generation of reference design platforms.

The firm believes that this acquisition will expand AAC Technologies' product portfolio and solution capabilities in the XR field, covering acoustics, haptic feedback, micro-electromechanical systems, camera lenses and lens modules, structural components, and waveguide technology, shifting from a focus primarily on domestic AR glasses clients to seizing future global opportunities in AI and AR glasses development. The firm currently sets a target price of HKD 56 for AAC and maintains a "Buy" rating
