# U.S. Department of Energy: Alaska's crude oil production is expected to increase by 13% in 2026

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) stated in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook on Wednesday that Alaska's crude oil production is expected to reach 477,000 barrels per day by 2026, the highest level since 2018. The EIA indicated that Alaska's oil production is projected to grow by 13%, or 55,000 barrels per day, marking the largest annual increase since the 1980s
