# Hedge fund partnership holds short interest in Iron Mountain

The hedge fund short-selling partnership composed of Gotham City Research and General Industrial Partners (GIP) announced on Wednesday that it holds a short interest in the real estate investment trust Iron Mountain. The partnership's Daniel Yu and Cyrus de Weck stated that Iron Mountain's leveraged investments in data centers do not align with the company's long-term available capital. de Weck commented at the Sohn Conference held in London, "This is a Hail Mary pass for a business on the brink of death."
