# According to reports, Walmart plans to negotiate the acquisition of an Israeli startup to combat fraud and counterfeiting

According to foreign media reports, American retailer Walmart (WMT.US) is in talks to acquire the startup R&A Data, which is dedicated to reducing fraud and counterfeit products in the online marketplace.

The report indicates that R&A Data was founded by two Israeli scientists and has been collaborating with Walmart as a third-party supplier since 2024, helping the company screen product information on its online marketplace to identify compliance issues such as counterfeiting and inferior quality
