# Market Chatter: FedEx to Cut 856 Texas Jobs as Major Client Shifts Business

03:13 PM EST, 11/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- FedEx ( FDX ) plans to cut 856 jobs at its Coppell, Texas, supply-chain site after a major third-party logistics customer chose to move its business to another provider, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing a filing with the Texas Workforce Commission.

The company said it will shut down operations at the facility, with layoffs occurring in stages and expected to conclude by late April, according to the report.

FedEx ( FDX ) told state officials that workers were notified in advance, and some may qualify for alternative roles within the company, the filing said.

FedEx ( FDX ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
