# TOM GROUP issues HKD 4.5 billion perpetual securities to repay significant debts

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, TOM GROUP (02383) announced that on November 27, 2025, the company issued a total principal amount of HKD 4.5 billion of subordinated perpetual securities, which were also subscribed by Hutchison Whampoa Europe Investments S.à r.l (the subscriber). The subscriber is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings Limited, which is one of the company's major shareholders.

The proceeds from the issuance of perpetual securities will mainly be used to repay significant debts of the company and its subsidiaries, including the group's long-term non-current bank loans along with accrued interest (the total amount prior to this issuance was approximately HKD 4.08 billion and related expenses)
