In November, the decline in synthetic rubber was less than that of butadiene, and industry profits were restored. In November, the average price center of butadiene and the downstream synthetic rubber industry chain continued to decline, with polybutadiene rubber and SBS falling below the 10,000 yuan mark for the first time in years. Wang Yuanyuan, a rubber analyst at SCI, believes that as butadiene prices sharply decline, downstream synthetic rubber profits have seen some recovery. In December, with the ramp-up of some new production facilities and the arrival of imported goods, the overall supply of synthetic rubber will remain ample; however, on the demand side, due to seasonal demand weakening or downstream orders falling short of expectations, the purchasing pace will continue to maintain a just-in-time approach, lacking effective support for prices. Therefore, there is still a certain downward expectation for butadiene and synthetic rubber prices in December. (Securities Times)
