The Taiwan and Australia-New Zealand stock markets also showed weakness, while the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong stock markets, along with several Southeast Asian markets, performed well. China's official manufacturing and non-manufacturing PMI for November fell short of expectations, and the People's Bank of China conducted a net withdrawal of RMB 231.1 billion through seven-day reverse repos in the open market. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 16 points or 0.4% to 3,904 points; the Shenzhen Component Index increased by 122 points or nearly 1% to 13,106 points.
