Under the updated national standard, Electric Bicycle Safety Technical Specification, all e-bikes sold from Dec. 1 must comply with the new requirements. Authorities have revoked or cancelled all previous certifications tied to older-standard models, and retailers are barred from selling them. Violations will be subject to enforcement actions, regulators said. The change does not affect consumers who have already purchased and registered older-standard e-bikes, which may continue to be used. Manufacturers have pledged to provide at least five years of maintenance and spare parts supply for existing vehicles. \[IThome, in Chinese\] ## Related News & Research - [The AI industry's biggest names have thoughts on whether you should have kids](https://longbridge.com/en/news/280988304.md) - [China to buy 10,000 metric tons of frozen pork for state reserve on April 3 - notice](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281347600.md) - [12:08 ETCybersecurity Firm TAC Security Hits 10,000 Clients, Enters Top 5 in Global VM & AppSec](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281399661.md) - [Hong Kong’s Exco approves plans for elevated mass transit system in Kai Tak](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281144460.md) - [ZAWYA-PRESSR: ITIDA and plug and play conclude Aswan bootcamp series as startups secure EGP 200mln in Upper Egypt](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281122065.md)
