# Cui Dongshu from the China Passenger Car Association: In October, China's share of the global automotive market rose to 38%

On December 1st, Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the Passenger Car Association, stated that global automobile sales in October 2025 reached 8.64 million units, an increase of 4% year-on-year and 1% month-on-month compared to September. From January to October 2025, global automobile sales totaled 79.25 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6%. China's share of the global automobile market continues to rise, with China's share in October recovering to a good level of 38%, an increase of 1 percentage point compared to last year. In 2024, China's share of the global automobile market is expected to reach 34.2%; from January to October 2025, China's share is expected to reach 34.9%, with the October share exceeding the annual share by 3 percentage points
