# U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen: The U.S. economy will end 2025 with a growth rate of 3%

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessenet stated that despite the prolonged government shutdown, the U.S. will end 2025 with a real GDP growth rate of 3%. Bessenet indicated that he expects inflation to "drop significantly" next year. He mentioned that the bond market "has just experienced its best year since 2020." He stated that the Treasury is in talks with major philanthropists to replenish funds for the Trump account and will announce more information in the coming weeks
