# South Korean President's Chief Policy Advisor: South Korea has ways to cope with the depreciation of the won

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's chief policy advisor Kim Yong-beom said on Sunday that South Korea has ways to cope with the depreciation of the won. Kim Yong-beom, head of the Presidential Policy Office, stated at a briefing, "We have developed measures to counter" any short-selling of the won. The government is monitoring the situation regarding the repatriation of profits by South Korean companies, whether retail investors' overseas investments pose excessive risks, and the overseas investment situation of the National Pension Service
