# Shandong Province "14th Five-Year" Planning Suggestions: Strengthen and Optimize the Ri-Lin and Lai-Tai Steel Base

The "Suggestions of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Shandong Province" proposes to grasp the critical period of reducing and improving traditional industries, promoting high-end quality improvement, digital intelligence empowerment, and green transformation of traditional advantageous industries such as metallurgy, chemicals, machinery, light industry, textiles and clothing, mining, and construction materials. It insists on establishing before breaking, effectively resolving structural contradictions, and comprehensively promoting the optimization and upgrading of industries such as steel, petrochemicals, and automobiles, increasing the proportion of advanced production capacity.
