**Trump claims that the inflation problem in the United States has been basically resolved, but denies the possibility of deflation.**

On Monday, President Trump accused the previous Biden administration at the White House, insisting that his team "inherited" the high inflation situation. He pointed out:

> Prices have been falling, prices have fallen a lot, and now inflation has basically disappeared. We have normalized it, and it will further decrease slightly. But you also don't want deflation; you must be careful.

**In addition, Trump announced $12 billion in economic aid for struggling American farmers, which is expected to be funded through tariff revenues.** The extensive tariff policies implemented earlier this year have disrupted global trade, leaving many American farmers in distress.

## Details of the Relief Plan

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, Treasury Secretary Besant, and some farmers participated in a roundtable discussion at the White House on Monday.

Rollins announced at the White House that the government will implement $11 billion in "transitional payments." Trump immediately corrected the amount to $12 billion, with Rollins explaining that $1 billion was reserved to ensure coverage. She said:

> The aid announced today covers all major field crops, some specialty crops, and other crops whose status in the agricultural economy we are still assessing.

**Funds will be disbursed by February 28, 2026.** Rollins stated that **by the end of this month, that is, within the next few weeks, each eligible farmer will know the exact amount they can receive.**

**Trump's tariff policy has had a negative impact on American agriculture.**

The extensive tariffs have hindered the export market for U.S. agricultural products, leading to persistently low prices for major crops like soybeans and corn. Meanwhile, rising costs for fertilizers and agricultural machinery have made it difficult for farms to be profitable. Trump mentioned farmers during the roundtable discussion, saying:

> They are the backbone of our country, so we will provide $12 billion in economic aid to American farmers. $12 billion is a significant amount.

The Trump administration had previously disbursed $3 billion in federal agricultural aid in October, but it was frozen during the government shutdown
