In November, China's NEV sales reached 1,823,000 units, surpassing the previous record of 1,715,000 units set in October, according to data released today by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). This represents a 20.6 percent year-on-year increase and a 6.3 percent rise from October. Join us on Telegram or Google News The NEV sales figures released by CAAM represent automakers' wholesale sales, including both domestic sales in China and exports to overseas markets. NEVs include battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and fuel cell vehicles. BEV sales in November reached a record 1,170,000 units, surpassing the one-million-unit mark for the third consecutive month. This represents a 28.9 percent year-on-year increase and a 5.5 percent rise compared to October. PHEV sales in November reached 652,000 units, up 7.9 percent year-on-year and up 7.77 percent month-on-month. Total vehicle sales in November were 3.429 million units, representing a 3.4 percent year-on-year increase and a 3.2 percent rise compared to October. This indicates an NEV penetration rate of 53.2 percent in November, higher than the 45.6 percent recorded in the same period last year and the 51.6 percent in October. NEV exports continued their strong momentum, surging 260 percent year-on-year to a record 300,000 units in November. After excluding exports, domestic NEV sales in November totaled 1,522,000 units, up 6.5 percent year-on-year and up 4.3 percent from October. In November, 728,000 vehicles were exported from China, representing a 48.5 percent year-on-year increase and a 9.3 percent rise from October. China exported 177,000 BEVs in November, a 200 percent year-on-year increase and a 6.5 percent rise from October. PHEV exports reached 124,000 units in November, surging 400 percent year-on-year and 37.3 percent month-on-month.
