Brookfield plans Singapore hires to tap Asia energy demand boom

Brookfield Asset Management plans to expand its team in Singapore to focus on renewable energy and low-carbon technologies in Southeast Asia, aiming to capitalize on the region's growing power demand. The firm, managing over US$1 trillion in assets, intends to hire up to four new team members. This move comes as the clean technology sector rebounds, with significant investments in decarbonization. Brookfield recently acquired Alba Renewables and is developing solar and battery projects with Solarvest Holdings. The firm also plans to explore biofuels and carbon capture opportunities.
