SoftBank Group (9984.JP) is reportedly in talks to acquire data center operator Switch
According to sources cited by Bloomberg, Japan's SoftBank Group (9984.JP) is exploring potential acquisition targets, including data center operator Switch, and the two companies have already engaged in discussions. Previously, it was reported that SoftBank has been in deep negotiations to acquire Switch's main private equity investor, DigitalBridge Group (DBRG.US).
It is reported that Switch currently has an estimated valuation of about $50 billion after debt and is preparing for an initial public offering as early as next year. Switch investors are hoping to seek a valuation of around $60 billion at the time of the company's listing
