<div id="readability-page-1"><div>By Cristiana SandevaPFI has compiled a list of the winners in Italy's Transitional FER X and NZIA renewables tenders which saw a total of 8.8GW solar and 939MW wind awarded.Transitional FER X was open to solar and onshore wind projects and it closed with 8.6GW of contracts-for-difference awarded across 504 projects, comprising 7.7GW solar across 474 schemes and 939MW wind across 29 projects. FER X NZIA awarded 1.1GW of CfDs to 88 solar projects that are due to be built without Chinese components. FER X winnersThe highest accepted bids in FER X were €62.675/MWh for solar and agrisolar and €77.738/MWh for wind while the lowest bids were €45.5/MWh for solar and €65.1/MWh for wind.Out of 474 solar bids, 100 projects exceeded 10MW.The largest solar project awarded was a 300.6MW development in Sicily by German IPP ib vogt. The company also secured a contract for a 113.9MW scheme. Aside from ib vogt's Sicilian projects, there are 11 solar schemes awarded across the country that exceed 100MW and are all in Sicily except for 104.8MW in Apulia secured by local special purpose vehicle Sertekh 1.European Energy secured a contract for its 213.7MW Sun Project in Sicily as well as across several smaller projects across Sicily, Apulia and Molise that add up to 513MW capacity in total.Italian IPP Nexta has contracted revenues for a 184.18MW project.Sonnedix has secured a CfD for a 180.18MW solar scheme in Sicily as well as CfDs for several projects below 10MW across the country. Sicilian company Sicilia &amp; Progresso has secured contracts for 139.84MW, 134.2MW and 110.94MW projects all in Sicily.Canadian Solar secured a contract for 130MW and asset manager Alta Capital secured a contract for 110.7MW.BNZ secured a contract for 104.45MW and Acciona secured a contract for 100.7MW.Companies including Sunprime, Opdenergy, Sonnedix, Edison, Neoen, Voltalia and Juwi, secured CfDs for several small-scale projects between 1MW and 9MW each, which they are likely to group into CfD-backed portfolio developments ranging between 20MW and 50MW per portfolio.Tel Aviv-listed Enlight secured 63MW across six projects in Basilicata, forming the Montemilone cluster linking five 9MW schemes and an 18MW project.On top of its small-scale projects below 10MW each, Voltalia got a contract for a 36MW scheme in Lazio.Local IPP GreenGo won 101MW across seven projects comprising 66MW of solar and 35MW of onshore wind in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Puglia, Sicily and Calabria.EQT-backed Spanish IPP Zelestra scored 60MW of solar across eight projects, mostly in Northern Italy. Falck Renewables, ERG, Enel Green Power, RWE, PLT Energia and Edison have secured contracts for multiple projects, particularly in southern regions like Apulia and Sicily.The number of awarded solar projects is relatively close between the south, centre and north which secured 204, 120 and 150 projects respectively, however projects in the centre and south are larger in scale which brings more capacity in southern Italian regions than in the north.Solar projects in central regions of the country are eligible for a €4/MWh premium and for €10/MWh premium in northern regions. &#34;The regional incentive results in a similar price distribution across the different regions, showing that price incentive compensates lower yield&#34;, a report by financial advisory Finergreen said.On the wind front, FER X awarded 29 projects and they are all in southern and central Italy, with 27 of them exceeding 10MW individual capacity. Edison secured over 30% of the total awarded capacity with four projects in Campania, including projects of 118.MW, a 72.6MW, 66MW and 42MW.Other winners with significant capacity shares include Italian companies IVPC, ERG and German IPP RWE.Italian holding company Maluni has secured a CfD for a 103.7MW wind project in Campania via its subsidiary Italia Vento Power Corporation. Italian independent power producer ERG secured contracts for projects of 49.5MW and 47.6MW in Campania. RWE secured a CfD for a 31.5MW wind project in Basilicata.FER X NZIA winnersThe tender was launched in September targeting at least 200MW capacity, hoping for 900MW and with a 1.6GW cap. A total of 157 bids were received for 1.8GW of which 88 were successful, 43 totalling 411.4MW were not eligible and 26 totalling 292.8MW were withdrawn. The projects are distributed homogenously across the Italian territory from north to south in terms of asset quantity, however individual asset capacities are significantly larger in the southern regions, specifically Sicily, while northern regions are populated with smaller assets. Out of the 88 projects awarded, 71 have CfDs for less than 10MW per project totalling 358MW; 13 schemes totalling 414MW have CfD capacities ranging between 10MW and 50MW; and four schemes adding up to 343MW exceed 50MW in individual CfD capacity. The four schemes with CfDs for over 50MW each are: London-based asset manager Alta Capital secured a CfD for 140MW of a 180MW scheme in Sicily at €69.33/MWh; EQT Infrastructure secured a CfD for 62MW for a 107.9MW project in Sicily at €65.07/MWh; Sicilian IPP PLT Energia secured a CfD for the full capacity of its 80MW Gibellina project in Sicily at €67.07/MWh, after acquiring the project earlier this year from Brookfield-backed X-Elio and; Enel secured a CfD covering the full capacity of a 56.6MW project in Latium at €70.68/MWh. At slightly less than 50MW per individual contract, Enel secured a 49.3MW CfD for a 50.4MW project in Latium contracted for €72.39/MWh.The tender was launched by Italy's power system operator GSE as a spinoff within its FER X CfD tender programme with an additional eligibility clause for projects not to include Chinese-produced modules, inverters or cells, as &#34;[in 2023] the European Union's supply from third countries, particularly China, was well above 50%&#34;, according to Italy's energy ministry. </div></div>
