The healthcare enterprise and real estate developer Perennial Holdings announced this news in a statement on Tuesday (16). The project is jointly developed by Perennial Holdings, Chongqing Transportation Investment Group, and China Railway Construction Industry Group. The first phase of the Chongqing Perennial Healthcare City project will have a construction area of approximately 140,000 square meters and will include the Perennial General Hospital (a tertiary general hospital) with 500 beds and several specialty hospitals. The first phase is expected to be gradually completed starting in 2028. Subsequent phases are planned to cover an area of over 260,000 square meters, expected to include elderly care, serviced apartments, hotels, and commercial facilities.
