In San Francisco, California, the state achieved a significant reduction of 3% in climate pollution in 2023. This marks one of the largest year-over-year emissions decreases in the state's history. The latest data surpassed reductions seen in 2009 and 2020, during the Great Recession and COVID-19 pandemic, respectively.
