The company manufactures the electric small car at the Nio Factory Two (Nio F2) in Hefei (Anhui), China. It has not announced the launch sequence or planned products for the Nio and Onvo brands, for both of which Thailand is the first market in Southeast Asia. Nio has appointed Thonburi Bluesky, a subsidiary of Thonburi Group, as its local distributor. Thonburi Group has more than eight decades of experience in the Thai auto industry and has been a long-standing distribution partner and contract manufacturer for Mercedes-Benz. Since late 2024, it has also held the distributorship for Geely in Thailand. “Thailand has high potential for driving the electric vehicle market, thanks to strong consumer demand, supportive government policies, robust infrastructure, and a well-developed industry. The collaboration with Thonburi Bluesky, with its strong business base and deep understanding of the Thai market, will allow Nio to systematically establish an EV ecosystem in Thailand,” said Nio founder and CEO Bin Li. Nio commenced production of the right-hand drive Firefly EV on 18 November and debuted it at Auto Guangzhou 2025 three days later. The company plans to export the first batch to Singapore. It began selling the Firefly EV in China in April and has since expanded to Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, and Norway. The company has delivered more than 30,000 units of the premium electric hatchback so far and plans to expand its availability to 17 markets worldwide in the future for further growth. As for the Onvo brand, Nio began selling its first model, the L60, in September 2024, followed by the L90 this August. The company has delivered more than 100,000 units in China so far, but it has yet to commence exports. In August, it announced plans to launch the L60 in Costa Rica and Uzbekistan by next year. Last month, citing Li, a report from EV said that Nio plans to launch the first Onvo model in Europe in 2027. autostation.com, eletric-vehicles.com ### Related Stocks - [NIO Inc (NIO.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NIO.US.md) - [NIO-SW (09866.HK)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/09866.HK.md) - [NIO Inc (NIO.SG)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NIO.SG.md) ## Related News & Research - [Why Is Silver Down 4% Today, 4/2/26?](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281547191.md) - [$100 Invested In ProShares Ultra Silver 10 Years Ago Would Be Worth This Much Today](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281548227.md) - [Iridium Communications Stock (IRDM) Moonshots 12% on SpaceX IPO Filing and Amazon Takeover Rumors](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281548482.md) - [Trump speech unleashes more pain on US consumers with $5 gasoline, record diesel in sight](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281550771.md) - [Wall St Week Ahead-Inflation in focus for markets jostled by Middle East war signals](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281625776.md)
