# Brief News: 51WORLD raises HKD 700 million in IPO

**51WORLD Digital Twin Technology Co., Ltd.** (6651.HK) **launched its IPO on Thursday**, offering 23.975 million shares at a price of HKD 30.5 per share, raising HKD 730 million, with a minimum purchase of 200 shares and an entry fee of HKD 6,161.51. The subscription for the IPO will close on the 23rd of this month, and it will officially list on the 30th.

Digital twin technology is a high-precision virtual replication technology that uses 3D graphics, simulation, and AI to generate virtual copies of physical objects or systems. Digital twin applications are used in various fields to simulate and plan urban development, traffic management, and emergency response strategies that impact real-world environments.

Since its establishment, the company has completed eight rounds of financing, raising over HKD 800 million, with investors including LS 51World, Sky9 51World, and SenseTime (0020.HK).

51WORLD has continued to incur losses over the past three years. In the first half of this year, revenue increased by 62% year-on-year to HKD 53.82 million, but losses widened by 44.5% year-on-year to HKD 94.09 million
