# Report: SoftBank accelerates fundraising efforts to fulfill its $22.5 billion investment commitment to OpenAI by the end of the year

According to sources, SoftBank Group is striving to fulfill its commitment to invest $22.5 billion in OpenAI by the end of the year through a series of fundraising plans, including the sale of investment assets. In addition, SoftBank may also utilize the undrawn margin loans secured by its holdings in chip giant Arm. To raise funds, Masayoshi Son has sold all of SoftBank's $5.8 billion stake in Nvidia, reduced its stake in T-Mobile by $4.8 billion, and conducted layoffs
