Weighing around 26 lb (11.8 kg), it stands out for its minimalist design and cleverly integrated battery in the seatpost. While it may seem low-power on paper, it excels in its intended use as a simple, efficient urban commuter, offering a refreshing experience even years after its release. The Dahon K-Feather is one of those electric bikes that makes a lot more sense the longer you ride it. On paper, it looks rather low-power and low-capacity compared to the spec sheets for most e-bikes. In practice, especially when used exactly as intended, it turns out to be a remarkably well-executed urban commuter that still feels refreshingly different years after its release. Launched earlier this year by Dahon, a brand best known for decades of folding bike experience, the K-Feather was never meant to compete with high-power folding e-bikes loaded with throttles, suspension, and giant batteries. Instead, it aims for something far simpler: a super lightweight folding bike that just happens to have electric assist. ## **A lightweight e-bike, even by light e-bike standards** At around 26 lb (11.8 kg), the K-Feather is shockingly light for an electric bike, even by today’s standards. Pick it up and it barely registers as an e-bike at all. That’s largely thanks to its extremely minimalist design, highlighted by the cleverly hidden battery integrated into the seatpost. ### Related Stocks - [02543.HK - DAHON TECH](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/02543.HK.md) ## Related News & Research | Title | Description | URL | |-------|-------------|-----| | Acwa Power's Uzbekistan Battery Energy Storage System Starts Operations | Acwa Power's Uzbekistan Battery Energy Storage System Starts Operations | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/275729901.md) | | Battery diagnostics specialist Aviloo secures €30 million | Vienna-based battery diagnostics company Aviloo has secured a €30 million investment from Armira Growth to enhance its g | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/275621702.md) | | Most Maritime Shipping Battery Propulsion Studies Are Already Obsolete | Most maritime battery studies are now considered obsolete due to outdated assumptions about battery costs and energy den | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/275960408.md) | | El-Mor advances delivery-ready BESS projects in Romania | El-Mor Electric Installations & Services is advancing two large Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Romania | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/275775122.md) | | 13:39 ETTrojan Battery Company Expands Master Distributor Network with Appointment of Motive Energy | Trojan Battery Company has expanded its Master Distributor Network by appointing Motive Energy as a regional distributor | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/275795997.md) | --- > **Disclaimer**: This article is for reference only and does not constitute any investment advice.
