# December 22nd midday closing review: ChiNext index rises 1.8% in half a day, nearly 20 stocks in Hainan sector hit the daily limit

The Hainan sector surged across the board, with nearly 20 stocks including Haima Automobile and Hainan Expressway hitting the daily limit. The commercial aerospace concept continued to strengthen, with China Spacesat hitting the daily limit and its stock price reaching a new high in over 10 years. The semiconductor and lithography machine concepts rose, with LION and Kema Technology hitting the daily limit. Computing hardware stocks were repeatedly active, with Hengtong Optic-Electric and Changfei Fiber Optic hitting the daily limit. Most individual stocks rose rather than fell, with over 3600 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets in the green, and a total turnover of 1.2 trillion yuan in the morning session. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.64%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.36%, and the ChiNext Index rose 1.8%
