After Tesla submitted its second application, a judge in Texas has transferred a lawsuit accusing Tesla of infringing on autonomous vehicle patents to a Northern California court earlier this week. The judge's decision was influenced by the addition of nine new witnesses in California, who were not considered in Tesla's initial motion for transfer. The lawsuit was filed by Granite Vehicle Ventures LLC in 2024, accusing Tesla of infringing on three autonomous vehicle patents; previously, Tesla had requested the court to dismiss the allegations involving two of the patents
