# December 26th midday closing review: The three major indices collectively surged and then retreated, with nearly 4,000 stocks in the entire market declining

The market surged in the morning and then fell back, with all three major indices turning negative. The Hainan sector rose sharply again, with Jingliang Holdings and Drinda hitting the daily limit. The lithium battery sector saw intraday gains, with Yongxing Materials and Tianji Shares also hitting the daily limit. The commercial aerospace concept continued to be active, with Shenjian Shares achieving a seven-day limit-up, and Aerospace Development also hitting the daily limit. On the downside, computing hardware stocks fell, with Changguang Huaxin dropping over 10%. Most individual stocks declined, with nearly 4,000 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets showing losses, and a total turnover of 1.46 trillion in the morning session. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.09%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.17%, and the ChiNext Index fell 0.15%
