Under the cooperation, the Doubao large language model has been deeply integrated into BYD’s DiLink system, enabling seamless connections across voice interaction, content recommendations, and mobility services. The collaboration now covers all current production models across BYD’s five major brands—Yangwang, Denza, Fangchengbao, Dynasty, and Ocean. Yang Dongsheng, Senior Vice President of BYD Group and President of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute, said that the collaboration between Volcano Engine and BYD progressed from joint development to in-vehicle deployment in just four months. He said this not only demonstrated the efficiency of cooperation between the two companies, but also reflected the vitality of an open ecosystem. He added that the two sides, together with a range of ecosystem partners, are continuing to expand cooperation in areas such as intelligent access, intelligent voice interaction, and in-cabin entertainment, supporting the continuous evolution of the DiLink smart cockpit and creating new intelligent mobility experiences. As a top-selling new energy vehicle manufacturer, BYD has continued to lead in vehicle electrification and intelligence. Since 2018, the company has adhered to an open ecosystem strategy, working with global partners to advance the development of intelligent vehicles. As part of the collaboration, Volcano Engine has integrated the Doubao large language model and other AI capabilities into DiLink, BYD’s self-developed in-vehicle intelligent connectivity system. The cooperation spans multiple scenarios, including voice interaction, content recommendation, and mobility services, aiming to deliver a new human–machine interaction experience that can reason, think, and recognize emotions. At the conference, the Denza N8L showcased a smart cockpit experience powered by the Doubao large language model. Leveraging the model’s online question-and-answer capabilities, the voice assistant can retrieve real-time information from the internet while also integrating content from the wider ByteDance ecosystem. Through content cards, short videos, and other formats, it provides responses that are both timely and engaging, meeting user needs ranging from casual conversation to professional inquiries. The partnership also extends to intelligent access solutions such as full-scenario digital keys, in-cabin entertainment, and intelligent voice functions, driving the continued AI evolution of the DiLink system. Volcano Engine and ByteDance are also working with BYD in the field of lithium battery research. Previously, the three parties explored the application of AI for Science combined with high-throughput experimentation through joint laboratories to accelerate lithium battery development. The ByteDance Seed team has developed an electrolyte AI model framework known as BAMBOO, which enables rapid screening of electrolyte formulations. Compared with traditional trial-and-error approaches, BAMBOO can combine experimental data to accurately predict key performance indicators such as density, viscosity, and ionic conductivity. During the development of megawatt fast-charging batteries, the model significantly narrowed the experimental formulation space and accelerated the research process. Supported by Volcano Engine’s cloud infrastructure, the ByteDance Seed team continues to invest in model algorithm research and optimization, while BYD’s lithium battery division provides a high-throughput experimental platform, generating large-scale, systematic, and highly consistent experimental data to support model improvement. The three parties plan to jointly establish an “AI + high-throughput” laboratory to address challenges related to fast charging, lifespan, and safety of power batteries. They will also explore additional applications of AI in battery research to accelerate the discovery of new materials and formulations, further advancing power battery technology. Looking ahead, Volcano Engine will continue to serve as a key partner for BYD, expanding cooperation across areas such as smart cockpits, digital transformation, and scientific research, and promoting the practical application of advanced technologies in automotive terminals. * * * _More By This Author:_ Microsoft, Meta, Apple And Amazon Released Earnings Reports, All Surpassing Expectations JD.com Makes Acquisition Offer To European Consumer Electronics Retailer Ceconomy Global Robotaxi Race Accelerates As Robotaxi Players Push For Commercialization ### Related Stocks - [BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/01211.HK.md) - [BYD Company Limited (BYDDF.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BYDDF.US.md) - [BYD Company Limited (BYDDY.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BYDDY.US.md) - [BYD (002594.CN)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/002594.CN.md) ## Related News & Research - [BYD secures new 2.6 GWh overseas energy storage order](https://longbridge.com/en/news/280968632.md) - [BYD reportedly targets higher 2026 overseas sales of 1.5 million units](https://longbridge.com/en/news/280965020.md) - [The AI Revolution and The 90s Internet Boom](https://longbridge.com/en/news/281005956.md) - [BYD Has Hit A Rough Patch.
