# Alibaba Qwen Code major update: Let AI programming jump out of the command line

> Alibaba's Qwen Code has launched version 0.5.0 in its latest update, marking its transition from a command-line tool to a development ecosystem. This update includes feature enhancements, the introduction of the Qwen Code VSCode plugin, and a TypeScript SDK, allowing developers to programmatically integrate its intelligent capabilities. Future support for Java, Python, and other language versions will also be available

Qwen Code has been updated to version v0.5.0. This update not only includes functional enhancements but also marks a key step for Qwen Code in transitioning from a "command-line tool" to a "development ecosystem."

The official Qwen Code VSCode plugin has been launched.

The official Qwen Code TypeScript SDK has been released, allowing developers to integrate Qwen Code's intelligent capabilities programmatically.

Currently, the SDK first supports the TypeScript version, with versions for Java, Python, and other languages being planned
