# After the release of the Federal Reserve's meeting minutes, traders still bet on two rate cuts next year

Although Federal Reserve officials have reached a certain consensus on a rate cut in December and possibly continuing cuts thereafter, this has not necessarily prompted traders to raise their expectations for a decline in borrowing costs. Traders currently still lean towards expecting two rate cuts next year, rather than the three they accounted for earlier in December. While policymakers are focusing on risks in the labor market, traders may be waiting for delayed data to substantiate these concerns.
